Soaring Spirits and Sweet Beginnings: Celebrating Makar Sankranti at Qtech Software
What a fantastic start to the year it’s been at Qtech Software! We kicked off 2026 with a vibrant celebration of Makar Sankranti, bringing together our incredible team for some high-flying fun and sweet traditions.
Makar Sankranti, a festival that marks the sun’s journey into the Capricorn zodiac sign, signifies the end of winter and the beginning of longer, warmer days. It’s a time for new beginnings, gratitude, and coming together – and we certainly embraced that spirit!
Our celebration began with an exhilarating kite flying activity right on the office terrace! The sky above Goregaon, Mumbai, was dotted with a kaleidoscope of colorful kites, each one expertly maneuvered by our enthusiastic employees. There was friendly competition, joyful shouts, and plenty of laughter as kites dipped, soared, and danced in the crisp January air. It was truly a sight to behold, witnessing everyone reconnecting with their inner child and enjoying the simple pleasure of a shared outdoor activity.
The energy was palpable, and it was wonderful to see colleagues cheering each other on, untangling lines, and even offering tips and tricks for the perfect kite launch.
And what’s Makar Sankranti without its traditional treats? To sweeten the celebration, we distributed delicious Tilgul ladoos to all employees. These sesame and jaggery sweets are not just tasty; they carry the beautiful message of “Tilgul ghya, ani goad goad bola” – “Eat tilgul and speak sweet words.” It’s a reminder to let go of any past grievances and embrace sweetness and positivity in our interactions. We hope these delightful treats brought a smile to everyone’s face and a touch of traditional warmth to their day.
The Makar Sankranti celebration was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our desks, bond with colleagues, and immerse ourselves in a cherished cultural festival. It truly embodies the spirit of our company – hard work, collaboration, and creating a joyful and inclusive environment for everyone.
